In-Kind Donations

Hurricane Irma left damage throughout the city of Jacksonville. The Sulzbacher Center was incredibly fortunate to experience only minimal damage. However, we did lose our POD units, which is used daily for donations. As a result, we have no temporary storage and are unable to take  in-kind donations of clothing, furniture, and bedding at this time. We will continue receiving these donations on November 20th at our downtown location, 611 East Adams Street.

We are directing all in-kind donations of clothing to our downtown partners:
DESC at 215 N. Ocean Street Jacksonville, FL. 32202.
Clara White Mission at 613 W Ashley St, Jacksonville, FL. 32202

For any questions about your in-kind donations, please contact Brooks Dame at

This excludes all donations of holiday items and donation drives.

During their stay at the Sulzbacher Center, residents are provided with toiletries, bed linens and towels. These items are supplied entirely through donations received from individuals and groups in our community. Your in-kind donation is greatly appreciated by the center and by those we serve.

Please email us before bringing your in-kind donations so we can schedule a drop-off time.
