Part Time Medical Advocate
The role of the Medical Advocate in the homeless shelter environment is to attend to the medical needs of guest’s located in health service beds and assist with medical emergencies located in the shelter. This position requires a caring individual with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with individuals in a crisis situation. The Medical Advocate must work closely with the Medical RN, Director of Patient Services and Shelter staff. The role of the Medical Advocate also works in partnership with an assigned Case Manager in order to assure measurable positive outcomes for their jointly assigned resident caseload. As the day to day contact, the Advocate encourages their assigned residents to follow their case plan (Pathway) and acts as an on-going support system for these residents. The Advocate ensures that the resident has all supplies and resources they require and is there to answer questions and intervene when issues arise. The Advocate also performs routine shelter operation tasks such as serving meals, issuing supplies and working with the Facility Operations Manager to maintain safety and security of the facility. The Advocate attends weekly interdisciplinary staffing meetings and works in conjunction with the Case Manger to supply input for these meetings. The Advocate and Case Manager will communicate on a daily basis either in person or via e-mail (dependent on shift). This position requires a mature and professional individual with excellent interpersonal skills, highly developed customer service skills and the ability to deal with individuals in a crisis situation. The Advocate interacts with clients in a supportive way that fosters both mental and physical health, mutual respect, clear communication and always with the goal in mind for a successful program completion at the Sulzbacher Center

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Certified EMT required.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
Skills: Excellent interpersonal, Leadership Skills, Customer service skills, and Computer Literacy. Valid Florida driver’s license and good driving record. CPR Certification or obtained within 90 days of hire

Men’s Team Advocate

Accountant I

The Accountant I is a member of the Finance, Operations, and Human Resources team. This position assists the CFO with the financial responsibilities of the organization and provides administrative, accounting, and human resources assistance to the Finance department.

Education: AA Degree in Accounting or Office/Business Administration
Experience: Two years related experience. Experience with ADP Payroll systems and Black Baud Financial Edge a plus. Grant experience a plus.
Skills: Excellent interpersonal, Leadership Skills, Customer service skills, and Computer Literacy. Ability to prioritize and organize multiple work projects

Supportive Living Coach
The role of the Supportive Living Coach is to synthesize agency and community resources with the goal of offering disabled clients the opportunity to achieve lasting recovery from homelessness through supportive housing.

Education: AA Degree or two years related work experience
Experience: Two years related experience.
Skills: Excellent interpersonal, Leadership Skills, Customer service skills, and Computer Literacy.
